Doug Hodges, PGA
Performance Coach

Doug Hodges, PGA Professional and Founder of ThinkWorkPlay, has extensive experience as a golf professional, training at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California and the Heritage Golf Club in Wake Forest, North Carolina. For the past 15 years Doug has researched and studied the mental aspects of the game and how to achieve optimal performance. By combining mental game coaching and cutting-edge biofeedback training, Doug offers his students the opportunity to play to their potential. He is a certified HeartMath® 1:1 Provider (www.HeartMath.com) and utilizes this to help adults and students transform stress, better regulate emotional responses, and harness the power of heart/brain communication.

In 2011, Doug became the Ravenscroft Girls Varsity Golf coach in Raleigh, North Carolina. In his inaugural year as girls head golf coach, his Varsity team of eight golfers won the Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference title, finishing the regular season undefeated with one tie. In the nine-team state championship, the Ravens finished second to Cannon School of Concord.

Coach Hodges’ Junior Golf Programs also bring his mental game coaching techniques to junior golfers looking to experience greater awareness of their abilities and enhanced levels of performance on and off the course and in their academic endeavors. He prepares junior golfers with the hopes of them competing on junior golf tours, in college and even professionally. In addition, he works with juniors already competing at the highest level to help them play to their potential.

“The emWave® PC software gives golfers the ability to identify when their heart is racing and do something about it. It gives them techniques to control themselves while under pressure and in tense situations so they can use those situations to their best advantage, both athletically and in life.”
